Coach Ramble - The Herriot Way. Leg One of Four - Aysgarth Falls to Reeth.

The May coach ramble offers a  strenuous 13 mile led walk from  Aysgarth Falls to Reeth with a choice of a shorter, easy 6 mile circular walk from Reeth, and a moderate 9 mile walk still covering part of the Herriot Way. Alternatively you can opt to enjoy your own activity in and around Reeth.

The coach leaves from Skipton Town Hall car park, High Street, Jerry Croft, Skipton. BD23 1ED at 9.00 (near the Three Links Club) with the option to board and dismount  at the coach depot at 8.45 and 20.45 respectively. The coach is due to arrive back in Skipton at  about 20.30. The coach fare is £16 per person.   


The venue for the post walk two course meal is at  the CB Inn, Arkengarthdale.  ( 17.00 for 17.30.) The price is £17 per person. 

MAINS

A  - Chicken, leek and tarragon puff pastry pie and mash
B - Roasted cod, crushed new potatoes, caper and samphire butter.
C- Spring vegetable risotto, asparagus, peas, mint and goats cheese. 

DESSERTS

A - Sticky toffee pudding
B - Lemon posset
C - Bread and butter pudding.

The £5 deposit for the meal  is refundable for cancellations up to the end of 9th May with the rest of the meal cost to be paid on 11th May please.

Craven Ramblers' Summer Meal at the Knights Table, Stainforth preceded by an optional 7 mile walk from Stainforth

Whether you decide to walk or not, anyone wishing to attend the summer meal at 2.30pm at the Knights Table is asked to pre-book their meal. 

  The main course is £10.95, two courses £14.95 and three courses £17.95. There is also a menu for lighter bites such as sandwiches, pizzas and burgers.
 
Friday 12th July to Sunday 14th July 2019
Annual Walking Weekend

Both a  short and a longer led walk are planned to take place on Saturday 13th July with a moderate led walk arranged for Sunday 14th July.
The longer walk of 8 miles takes in Claife Heights, Woodland and Lakeshore from the Bowness ferry. There will be an additional 2  miles to take into account to and from the ferry at Bowness to the hotel.

The moderate walk of 8 miles on Sunday follows the last leg of the Dales Way from Burneside to Bowness. 

The Windermere Hotel, Windermere is the designated hotel so please book your own accommodation for the weekend directy. The hotel has 70 bedrooms, including 10 single rooms. They also have offers, for example you can stay Sunday night as an extra if you wish to spend more time in the Lake District. The car park costs £6 per vehicle per day. Coach Ramble - The Herriot Way - Leg Two of Four. Aysgarth Falls to Hawes. 

BOOKINGS NOW BEING TAKEN.

The September coach ramble offers a choice of led walks taking in the beautiful scenery in Herriot country.

The strenuous walk of 13 miles at a faster pace covers the second quarter of the Herriot Way from Aysgarth to Hawes, led by Andrew. The walk leaves Aysgarth and goes via Askrigg, Sedburgh and Hardraw to finish at the Wensleydale Creamery at Hawes. 
 
The moderate walk of 9 miles; led by John and Pam;  starts near Aysgarth and goes via Askrigg and Sedbusk to also finish at the Wensleydale Creamery at Hawes.

Alternatively you may wish to enjoy your own activity in and around Hawes.
 

The coach leaves from Skipton Town Hall car park, High Street Jery Croft, Skipton. BD23 1ED at 8.30 (near the Three Links Club) with the option to board and dismount at the coach depot (see below) at 8.15 and 20.30 respectively. The coach returns to Skipton at 20.15.
The coach fare is £16 per person.

Annual Meal at the Calf' Head, Worston preceded by an optional walk.

The annual meal will be held at 14.00 at the Calf's Head, Worston near Clitheroe. This will be preceded by an optional walk of 7 miles (moderate) starting at 10.00 from the Calf's Head, Worston Please park in Worston Village for the walk.
