Walk grades - 

Leisurely - for reasonably fit people with at least a little country walking experience. The walk may include unsurfaced rural paths.

Moderate - for people with country walking experience and a good level of fitness. The walk may include some steep paths and open country and may be at a brisk pace.

Strenuous - for experienced country walkers with an above average fitness level. The walk may include hills and rough country and may be at a brisk pace. 

Walkers in doubt about their fitness are advised to contact the leader in advance.

For your own and others’ safety, please abide by the guidelines issued by the  walk leader. Although every care is taken planning walks, we can accept no liability and participation is entirely at your own risk. Please bring a packed lunch and drinks. Craven Ramblers' Walking Weekend

Walking Weekend in Middleton in Teesdale which includes led walks on Saturday 29th June and Sunday 30th June. Pre-booking is required for all walks via Andrew on 07730 718205 or andrewgold@live

Both led walks are due to be around 10 miles taking in parts of the Pennine Way and depart from the Teesdale Hotel in Middleton in Teesdale. A potentially longer 13 mile walk for Saturday could involve going to High Force and Low Force. Specific details of the walks will be determeined by those attending the walking weekend which requires sufficient numbers attendance for it to take place. 

Sunday 22nd September 2024   Dentdale and Garsdale Rail Ramble

This event includes an 8 mile moderate walk that is planned to be followed by a special 2 course meal at the Moorcock Inn at Gardale Head. Pre-booking is required via Andrew Gold (contact details above). 
Train times are provisional based on the 2023 timetable ans will be updated for the Summer 2024 timetable when confirmed.
Book your return ticket for the furthest away station ie if travelling North up the line book Garsdale return alighting at Dent Station for the start of the walk and boarding at Garsdale Station for the journey home.
The walk aims to arrive at the Moorcock Inn approximately 14.45 and the meal will be served around 15.00. Please confirm your meal choices when booking your place with Andrew.
Places for the Rail Ramble are limite and are allocated on a first come first served basis. It is therefore advisable to book early. When booking your provisional booking will only be confirmed on receipt of full payment. All
